Yoga Instruction
(groups & privates)

I offer instruction for groups and private clients. I’ve dubbed my style of teaching as “Hatha Flow,” which is an alignment- and theme-based synthesis of hatha, vinyasa, pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation. Themes are drawn from yoga philosophy, Buddhist insights, and indigenous wisdom. Group classes are open to all – all genders, body shapes, colors, faiths, abilities welcome. Private sessions are tailored to your needs and requests. ** Now offering virtual sessions. **

I believe that yoga is a privilege that should be accessible to all. My commitment is to make the spaces I teach in feel inclusive and trustworthy. I strive to create a sense of community and belonging among all who come to the space. I I received my first yoga teacher certification (YTTC) from the Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana, in Bangalore, India, in February 2002. I feel blessed to have studied in India (back before the yoga industry exploded, even there) to get a deeper understanding and cultural context of what yoga means. I have also studied trauma conscious practices extensively and have a certification from the Trauma-Conscious Yoga Institute. In my classes and sessions, you’ll find the opportunities to make empowered choices for yourself, to have agency over your own body, and to form authentic social connections with others.
